Hi all! Yesterday, a few of us briefly discussed getting group ts or tanks, and I mentioned the same to Korie at the Y this morning. The basic idea, I believe, is a dri-fit type material with a very simple design (maybe the date / name of the event and the name of our team) that we would all wear day of after the swim (and could order for our supporters, even). Korie suggested something noticeable, maybe orange. What do people think? My cousin's "got a guy" for shirts and can do bulk order & silk screen it all for us. I am willing to check elsewhere, too, and get back to people on pricing. I'm guessing under $20 from my brief on-line search.
Also, anyone up for Saturday morning training?

I'm in for the shirts. Saturday sounds good too. Should we bike/run nokomis?
sounds great to me on the shirts. orange is a great color.
I think that I could do saturday...we have Neil's mom watching the girls so that we can pack, but I would also like to get in a work-out. nokomis works for me...flex on what we do.
Hi everyone. I think I finally have this blog thing figured out. Even though I have not added anything I have been training and reading. I would like to join you on Sat. the earlier the better.
In response to earlier blogs, I did go to the tri clinic on May 19 and got some very helpful information. I will try to send it along to everyone via this blog or I'll make copies.
Shirts sound great-just remember it could be 90 degrees that day!
Suzan, my e-mail is stsexton@unique-software.com
7 weeks to go--this is our "BUILD" phase
Sally
I'm in for Saturday as well. Brick workout sounds good. I've noticed people training in the lakes already-- Holy crap!!!!!!
Hey Sally, I would love to hear about the Tri Clinic. I'm glad that you could make it and hopefully can fill us in a little.
Not sure about shirts. I have to figure out the whole swim suit/ bra thing. Anyone else have a "bouncing" issues?
Shirts-- good. Saturday Nokomis probably works. Time?
I think shirts (or maybe even a tank?) would be great. Erika, I trust your judgement on this so just let us know what you find out and keep your work to a minimum.
Re: "bouncing"--a guy at the running store reco'd "tri shorts" and sports bra for the swim and then put a shirt over that for the bike and run. That seemed like a good idea for me as it would allow good "bouncing" support and not require some sort of change of clothes.
I'm up for something on Saturday.

8:30am tomorrow? What works for people? Bike there, bike around Nokomis and then run around Nokomis? (Eek!)
Meet in the rec center parking lot?
Just throwing out suggestions...
Thanks -- I'm totally game. I'll probably just drive over and bike
around in
circles until 8:30, then bike & run with you all... I had posted a suggestion of meeting @8:30 Nokomis

Agreed on out if raining (hard) or any sign of an electrical storm --
I'd
then head to the Y at the same time, if any one wants in on that, I
still
have lots of guest passes.
