Great race in 2008!

Congrats on a great race Team Mike!

It was a blast.

Shirts are done.

If you are one of the 10 people that ordered a shirt, it is ready. I will bring the shirts to bookclub on Monday, July 7th. I will also bring the shirts to Korie's house on Friday, July 11th. If you want to get your shirt before the 11th please contact me at jendockerty@gmail.com.

The total cost per shirt came to $22.

They are a brighter orange than last year but I think they still look nice. It was the best I could come up with given the timing.

Hopefully the sizes will work out as I ended up having to adjust the sizes as the shirts themselves are on a very different size scale than last years shirts. I ended up having 10 people want shirts after I had already placed the order for 10 shirts so I do not have any extras. I'm sure we can make it all work.

Sunday, July 6th -- Open Water Swim

Proposed: Open Water swim this Sunday morning, 8:30, at Lake Nokomis (from the beach where the tri will take place in a mere 10 days!). Some triathletes have mentioned wanting to swim and then run around the lake. Water temp as of Monday was 72.5.

Training this weekend?

Is anyone headed out to train this weekend? I'd love to join for the swim part.... gosh this is getting close! (In case no one else is proposing a date / time: either Sat or Sun at 8:30?)

Relay, anyone?

I finally admitted to myself (with the help of my PT person) that I can't do the full tri this summer. I'm still going to train (really, run) as much as I can, but between the knees and the arm, it's too much... if it weren't for the biking.... I'm in for next year, for sure. And I am hoping to convince someone to do a relay with me yet! Anyone up for biking? I would do the swim and/or run....

Shirts

I will be placing an order for 2008 Team Mike shirts. Logo is same as last year only it says 2008. Color scheme is the same but the shirt itself is slightly different. The Nike Dri Fit Orange are no longer available in most sizes. At this time I'm ordering 10 shirts which leaves about 4 extra. If you are interested or know of someone who is interested in a shirt let me know. The order has not been placed yet but will be placed today or tomorrow.
